I'm Kentrelle, the spirited soul behind The Neighborly Nurse. I’m not just a nurse; I’m a lover of travel, cultural cuisine, history, creating songs, spending quality time with my loved ones, catching sunrises and sunsets (preferably near water), and Chai tea! Oh—and I also like an occasional thrill— but nothing too crazy.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing with more than 10 years in healthcare. My journey in nursing has woven through various fields like women's health, community care, mental health, substance abuse, utilization review, care management, and much more, enriching my experiences and broadening my perspective on healthcare.
I've always been curious about the disparities in healthcare and wellness resources in different neighborhoods—especially underserved communities. This curiosity, combined with my passion for patient education and simplifying medical terms, led to the birth of The Neighborly Nurse and our online blog community, The Neighborly Tribe. Learn more about what led me here, and what inspired me to create this platform, by reading my blog Nursing to Neighborly: Why I Chose the Pen Over the Stethoscope.
Whether you're here for some neighborly advice or looking for a collaborator in health content, you've found a friend in me! Looking forward to our journey together – See ya around the neighborhood!
